Coming Soon - Vitreous East

2008 will be a year of radical change for Vitreous Gallery, starting in March with the opening of Vitreous East. Vitreous East will specialise in Asian and Oriental art and will be the only gallery of its kind in Cornwall.

This new project will proceed in small steps starting with sourcing work locally and nationally that has Asian qualities and then later on we will begin to bring work in from overseas, particularly from modern and contemporary artists.

Initially we will be showing an ongoing mixed exhibition and we will add and change work as time goes on, then later in the year we will begin an exhibition programme that will include both solo and mixed shows.

To launch this new project we will have an open day and evening on Saturday March the 8th, we will open from 2:30pm to 5:30pm and then from 6:30pm to 9pm. This will be an open preview and everyone is invited to join us. To celebrate this auspicious occasion with us will be the Mitchell Hill Acupuncture clinic, and Paul Adkins from the clinic will be available on the day to talk about traditional Chinese medicine.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank our visitors and the artists whose work we have exhibited for their support over the last four years and we hope you will all continue to visit the gallery as we move in this new and exciting direction.
