I am interested in intimate space, how I view it, and developing from that how another viewer sees and understands their position. I often use intermediary space in my images to further compound this separation of the viewer from the subject. I want to experience the comfort in the beauty and ordinariness within the relative safety of this voyeurism. I am also interested in a time frame to this space and the suggestive narrative it creates, through body language and the surrounding space.

Genuine personal space cannot be truly captured, because through its method of capture it is tainted by itself. Fashion photography's use of this type of space to create an idealised, beautiful yet inauthentic image is increasingly influencing how I create this space using its authentic components I wish to create a genuine stage, where the possibility of the beauty and ordinariness of the situation can be realised.
