The inspiration behind the work was that I used to work in St Dennis in the mid 1990's as a toolmaker, and I used to travel through this unique landscape on a daily basis and wanted to go back and fully explore this strange surreal area.

All the images are taken in around the St Austell China Clay industry. The title is symptomatic of the work as all the images are hidden away from the public; my main area of interest was trying to find a design within this man-made landscape.
